Description
As the Digital Media & Merchandise Manager for the KU Hockey Club for four years, I orchestrated dozens of merchandise orders, surpassing over $100,000 in gross sales, and over $40,000 in revenue for the club on over 1,300 apparel items. We sold a steady mix of t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and hats, but the big ticket was always custom team jerseys. We didn't play the 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so instead of just selling our standard team jerseys, I made a few extra concepts, had the community vote on their favorites, and we began selling those in addition to the team issued jerseys. Two of those community voted jerseys, the white jersey with the Warhawk and the black and white jersey, are two of our best-sellers. We also held fan design contests where the winner was voted on by the players and staff, and the creator of the winning jersey received a free jersey of the design they submitted.
